Emergency First aid at Work

Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE approved course)

This course is ideal for people requiring Emergency First Aid at Work status, usually in small to medium low risk workplaces, or as someone to assist your current nominated First aid at work person.

6 hours training with a relaxed atmosphere that is designed to promote confidence and give a greater knowledge in Basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations.

The syllabus includes:

• Health and safety (first aid) regulations
• Managing an incident
• The priorities of first aid
• Treatment of an unconscious casualty
• Resuscitation
• Shock
• Choking
• Seizures
• Bleeding
• Common workplace injuries.

A certificate that is valid for a period of three years is issued to students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard.

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, there is no formal final examination.

Cost

£70 per person inclusive, when run at your venue. This includes HSE certification and a manual for each student.

Administrative Backup

We will provide you with early notification of any certificate expiry dates; this allows you the convenience and time to book staff and future courses with plenty of notice.

With our extensive experience of running Emergency Services exercises we can offer mini-exercises that are designed to refresh and challenge your First Aiders. We will issue a written report identifying all of the positives and development needs.
